Former Sierra Club Executive Director Carl Pope has devoted his entire life to issues related to climate. That makes him the ideal choice to speak at the Saint Louis Climate Summit.
The event runs from April 22-24 and Pope’s presentation takes place on Chafeitz Arena on April 23rd. The Climate Summit is just one component in a yearlong Bicentennial Celebration for Saint Louis University.
Climate science and related disciplines will be explored over the three days. There are several other speakers and presentations scheduled.
Pope worked with the Sierra Club for nearly 30 years before stepping down in 2012. He is the co-author of the last year’s New York Times bestselling book, “Climate of Hope: How Cities, Businesses, and Citizens Can Save the Planet.”
