District 58 of Toastmasters International is holding its annual conference this weekend. Top corporate comedian Darren Lacroix is serving as keynote speaker.
The conference takes place at the Crowne Plaza Greenville in South Carolina. Lacroix will give two separate presentations.
In the first talk, he will talk about how he went from bombing on stage to becoming an in-demand speaker. During his second session, he will educate others about making a speech unforgettable.
Lacroix is the founder of The Humor Institute, Inc. and co-creator of The Humor Boot Camp. He has spoken in front of clients like IBM, Sheraton Hotels and Motorola.
In 2001, Lacroix was named the World Champion of Public Speaking. In addition to speaking across the U.S., he has presented in Saudi Arabia, China, Oman, Malaysia and Taiwan.
Lacroix is the author of “Speaker’s EDGE: Secrets and Strategies for Connecting with Any Audience.” He is also the producer of the documentary, “Living and Laughing with Cancer: Comedian’s Journey.”
