Top architecture expert Amale Andraos is north of the border for an appearance tonight. She is holding a book signing and lecture at McGill University in Montreal.
Andraos is participating in the Sheila Baillie Lecture at McGill’s Peter Fu Guo-hua School of Architecture. In addition to sharing her perspective on architecture, she will also be doing a reading of her new book, “We’ll Get There When We Cross That Bridge.”
Following the 6 p.m. talk, Andraos will be signing copies of the book. There will be books available for purchase on-site.
It will be a homecoming of sorts for Andraos, who received her bachelor’s degree from McGill. She currently serves as the Dean of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation.
Andraos has previously taught at top schools like Princeton, Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania. She is also co-founder of the New York-based design firm, WORKac.
With WORKac, Andraos has gained acclaim around the world for various projects. She sits on the board of the Architectural League of New York and the Advisory Board of the Arab Center or Architecture in Beirut.
