Actor Alan Alda Named Keynote Speaker at the 2016 Project Fibonacci Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math Conference

American actor, director, author, and screenwriter Alan Alda has been announced as one of the keynote speakers for this year’s 2016 Project Fibonacci Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math Conference that’s happening at the SUNY Poly Field House in Marcy at 7 p.m. on August 3rd. The entire conference will actually occur between July 31st and August 6th, and the headquarters for the event will be at the Beeches Conference Center. Tickets to get into the conference will start $25 for each of the main events, or $150 for all seven that can be attended. Aida is expected to speak about his career and accomplishments in these industries and will more than likely be dishing out some of his own advice as well.

The New York City, New York native was born in the Bronx, and after combating several painful years after contracting polio he ended up attending Fordham University where he got his bachelor’s degree in in English. During the 1950s he started working for an acting company, and by 1972 he was selected for the role of Hawkeye Pierce in the hit television series M*A*S*H. He was a part of the show until its end in 1983, and in the 1990s he acted in several other works such as Manhattan Murder Mystery alongside Woody Allen, and The West Wing where he portrayed the President of the United States.

Alda will be appearing at this year’s Project Fibonacci Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math Conference in New York later on this summer, and there’s no doubt that many people will be going just to hear his words of wisdom.
